My Birthday, Easter and Some Sewing

As a bonus for being part of the Friends-In-Stitching group, I was given this parcel for my birthday..
Leanne, one of the members put together my lovely gift.   As you can see, there is a gorgeous scissor fob and scissors, a matching pincushion, a beautiful candy charm pack, and very handy thread cutter, and fabulous little 'cutting blade' charm and of course, some chocies...
Thanks Leanne and all the girls from Friends-In-Stitching.
The Tuesday girls gave me this beautiful - two coloured rose bush - Burgundy and White roses on
one bush...and it has done nothing but flower since I got it...and it smells divine...Thanks girls, I love you heaps...

The Sunday Stitcher's ran an Easter Table Runner swap and here is what I received from Maureen.
Isn't it gorgeous...I couldn't wait to set up my easter table to show it off.   Thanks Maureen...xx

Oh and look at the tag she put on the back.. it is soooo pretty.  I love it...

Now as part of Easter/Birthday, all the kids came round for brekky.  I did not take many photos and as you can see by this one, my grandson did not want to sit still for the photo (probably due to the excess sugar hype from that bunny)...but my newest grandson, Brayden behave lovely for the camera...

My youngest son and his girlfriend gave me these beautiful roses from their garden, so many fabulous colours and the aroma is amazing...thanks guys...xx

Now who could this scruffy pair be...mmm ok its me and hubby.   Last week we went to the Day On The Green Concern held at Siromet Winery.   We saw The Choirboys, Cheap Trick, The Angels and Billy Idol..  I was a fantastic day, cant wait for the next one...

Now I have done just a little sewing this week.  I was looking for some - non chocolate - Easter gifts for my grandsons and here is what I came up with...
First of all, I made these two 'tag mini blankets'.  Well I don't actually think they call them blankets but facewasher sized tag toys seems just wrong..lol   oh well...

For my three year old grandson I made a fabric alphabet for him to play with.  He is very interested in his letters at the moment and these ones can be played with anywhere, and as a bonus, they don't make a noise like timber letters do and so he doesn't wake his little brother...and it was a good way to use up some of my scraps...double bonus...

That's it for me.  It's been a busy week and now I am enjoying some peace and quiet.  Hope everyone has had a great Easter, I know I have...cya
