Helen's Birthday

I am going to work backwards with this post...no reason, just because...
On Thursday, The Tuesday Girls took a road trip out to Capalaba to a lovely little place called
"Whisky Business" to celebrate Helen's Birthday.   Helen's birthday was actually on Tuesday but we were unable to get a booking until the Thursday...oh well, having to celebrate twice in one week was such an effort...NOT....lol
The lovely waitress took a photo of the four of us...we look like proper ladies...good - illusion is working well...
Here is our beautiful birthday girl, Helen...
And just look at our High Tea...yummo.....
Norreen just couldn't contain herself and dug right in....lol
After finishing our meals we were feeling quite full and very contented with the fact that we had
done our meal justice...but finished, no, not by a long shot...  I don'd know how I did it but I managed to devour the deserts too....
Ice-cream and salted caramel on the right and panna cotta and rhubarb on the left...
Now we did do something on the Tuesday for Helen...but it was a bit more low key...
Helen is opening some pressies...
Now you cannot celebrate birthdays without cake or in our case - Red Velvet Trifle...yum
What's that?  Could it be a mug rug....I think it is.   I knew how much Helen loves Mug Rugs so just couldn't help myself, and as a bonus, Norreen gave her a Teddy Mug which looks lovely with it...
Wow, Helen is really enjoying her Trifle....even going so far as to lick the bowl clean...lol
I was laughing so much when she was posing for this shot, that the camera kept shaking and she had to stay in this pose for much longer than necessary..  This only made me laugh more...lol
We had a little show and tell...Norreen with her beautiful Christmas Belles Quilt is finished....she has done a wonderful job...
The girls were giggling so much that they were having trouble holding the quilt up...maybe the sugar has kicked in..
Oops, is Helen still licking that bowl?
Well that's it for this post...I have a couple of other sewing and christmas things to post about but will do that next time...
Cheers all...
