Halloween, Christmas and Family Catchup Post...

I have been a little slack lately putting up my posts as quickly as I should be...but time is just flying by way to fast for me to keep up...
So lets begin with Halloween..
We went to the - Keeping Kids Off The Streets - halloween party at Ormeau last month..
What a great night - lots of lollies for the kids, heaps of fictional characters walking around, fire works and a DJ.   Here is a photo of my grandson and my youngest daughter and her friend...
I thought the girls would be a little bored but they thought it was great and even volunteered to help with handing out the lollies...you cant tell by this photo but those buckets were full of sweets.  The organisers opened the community centre up and at different areas through out the building they had these stations set up so the kids could walk around and 'trick or treat'.  It was such a great idea.  I will confess that I do NOT like Halloween but concede to the fact that it is moving into Australia and will most likely be a big part of my grandson's future...and to tell the truth, he had a ball and I did too...
Look who else I found there...just couldn't resist getting a photo with my two favourite pirates... the shorter one is by far the cutest but on just....
My eldest daughter reached the 22 week stage of her pregnancy on the weekend, all is going well and we are soooo looking forward to meeting our second grandchild next year..
Hudson is holding his news....
Sewing - whats that???  I have being making some cushion covers for christmas and this is what I have come up with so far...mind you they are not finished - just the tops are done...
I seem to be having a 'snowman' thing happening...
This one is made from felt and buttons...
Another snowman....Hopefully I will pull my finger out, find my mojo and finish these cushions in time for christmas (this year)...
I have also made some stockings, we have more boys in the family than girls so I did try to make them a little masculine but I guess that was a fail when I added the flowers to the black topped ones..lol  Oh well.
One of The Tuesday Girls has had the nerve to leave us for 10 days and galivant around New Zealand with her Hubby...   We all missed her so much and are glad she had a wonderful time, but we are more happier now that she is back home with us, where she belongs...(No more trekking around the country side, ok...its just not on...lol)
Helen did bring pressies back for us...A New Zealand bauble for my chrissy tree, a beautiful tag and some gorgeous fabric...so I guess we can forgive her for leaving us behind... bribery goes a long way...Thank you Helen...Your bauble with be the first one on my tree this year...xx
Last month, Teresa got busy and made quite a few of these fobs and tiny zipper pouches...I was spoilt and was given these two matching ones. They were so popular, with them being snapped up before they were even finished, so I am feeling very grateful that she gave me them.   Thank you Teresa, I love them...xx
Well that's about it...just a bit of secret sewing but I can not show you any of that...but I can show you this...
Swap number 1 ready for posting...
Swap number 2, ready for posting too...
Oh I did do a little shopping recently and found this gorgeous panel at The Dew Drop In, in Hervey Bay...it has the chalk board look to it and even though I haven't decided what I am going to make with it, I am salivating with ideas of how to use it.
That's it for me...a bit of an eclectic post but October just flew by and by the looks of it, November is chasing after it....cya all....xxxx
