Easter is a coming....

I have been a enjoying the latest Homespun Magazine the week, making a few of the project from it and getting the next block for the "Time For Christmas" ready....
So far, I have made the pincushion, ok I made two...this was a great little project and I loved making it..

And I have made the Easter Bag, oh ok, I made two of them tooo...and boy one and a girl one...and I have just filled them with chocolates and hidden them until easter...Maybe I should get my hubby to mind them because knowing there is chocolate in the house is never a good thing...come to think of it I don't think I can trust him too... I wonder if they would be safe with the kids...or safer...lol

I have changed the pattern a little to suit, well myself I guess.  The pompom for the tail has been replaced with a suffolk puff and I added whiskers to them...

Rear view...lol

While I was out yesterday with my grandson, we came across these cute little cheeky bunnys and I don't know how it happened but they came home with me...I just couldn't leave them in the store - they needed me...lol

That's all folks.....

Some finished blocks for March...

I have a couple of ongoing projects this year, I dont know why I do this to myself but so far I am keeping up....
Summertime quilt.....Block 3

Farmer's Wife quilt....blocks 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7

Harvest Festival quilt....block 3..

And some hexies......

Now for a little family photo....my grandson was here the other day when two of the Tuesday Girls were here for a quick visit.  While they were here Teresa took these photos of Hudson...

Hudson was entertaining himself in my wall unit...he got in by himself and out by himself....all with that cheeky grin....I think it is time to buy some locks for the doors...
He did sit still long enough to join us at the table for a spell....

Ok thats it for this post....lots of photos, not much chit chat...I must be in need of some chocolate or could it be that I have just spent an hour at the gym with my personal trainer and I really just want to sit here and do nothing...catchya all later....

Na Na Nana Na

Eat your heart out Tassie Girls....I may not have a tag but I do have chocolate....lol
My FRIEND Helen brought me back Chocolates from her trip down south...see she knows me well...I said I could be bought.....I am sitting here writing this with chocies at my side - and half eaten already I might add...and feeling very contented...I don't need a beautiful, fabulous, gorgeous tag (stop that - I don't need one) to know I am loved by my friend Helen...
And I am feeling extra loved tonight as my FRIEND Teresa, whom just came back from her stitching holiday in Adelaide, brought me a gift too...this beautiful charm pack....I love it  and can't wait to use it in a project...so see Tassie Girls - can you just feel the love around me...lol
Keep your tags....we have Helen back and Teresa back...and they have pressies.....xxx

A Bit Of This and A Bit Of That..

I have started looking for small projects that may interest my youngest daughter. She is very active so sitting for too long on one project just doesn't work for her..  Yesterday I made this little blue bird from one of my books, you know the kind - the one that was bought with lots of intentions  to make lots of things from but nothing ever got made, well I can't say that now. I do realise that I have made the smallest thing in the book but a project is a project...

Here are my first two blocks for  the "Time for Christmas" project being published in the Homespun Magazine this year. The snowman is so cute with his little basket of sausages and his umbrella.

I have finished this stitchery from my UFO pile but I have no plans for it as of yet...it can go into my stash until I need it.

And last but not least, I have been working on this quilt lately with the intentions of finishing it for Easter for my youngest daughter.  To tell the truth - I started this quilt last year with intentions of it being for her birthday, then a christmas present and now its going to be an Easter gift..Oh well, at least its finished.
I don't know how I did it but I didn't have enough of the border fabric and had three sides on before I realised it.  I tried everything but couldn't find anything else that looked as good so I knew I was in trouble.  I took a small piece with me when I met up with The Tuesday Girls and low and behold, Tereasa had a piece.  Thank you so much Tereasa, you saved me...
I am liking this - completing of the UFO projects...I am going to mark it off right now...cya

The Tuesday Girls

There were only three of us today, seeing as two had prior appointments and one is galavanting around Tasmania at the moment, but that was enough to keep the laughs rolling on all day..
I took some show and tell today - a table runner made with a little jellyroll I was given at christmas time by Tereasa (one of the Tuesday Girls).  I didnt know it at the time but Laurel had done a table runner with her jellyroll too.  Talk about freaky - neither of us had mentioned these jellyrolls since receiving them and yet we both made table runners in the same week...
Norreen was elected to take a photo of us with our table runners...as you can see, she needs a little practice using my camera...more laughs...

Alot of photos later and lots and lots of laughs and we finally had a photo we could all agree on..
My jaw was aching by the time this photo was taken.

Laurel was very nice to us today and had done some baking before we arrived...we love it when Laurel bakes...Carrot and Pecan Muffins...yum...

As usual it was a great day and we even managed to get some stitching done...we all worked on the first block for "Time For Christmas" that is in the latest Homespun magazine.  No photos as of yet but they will follow...
Now for something a little different - we have many fruit trees planted in our garden and although we get some fruit from them they are not very mature yet, but this is the first time we have harvested pineapple - two at that...
They were something we popped into a pot years ago, losing the first fruit from it to ants, so this time we were more observant and it has paid off...two perfect deliciously sweet pineapples...yum..

Well thats it for today, hope all is well in blogland with everyone...catchya later.
